About · since 2006

A sailing club that started taking guests.

Our two founders met racing Optimist dinghies in the Paros channel when they were eleven. Twenty years later they bought a tired 42-footer, rebuilt her over a winter on the hard at Parikia and took their first guests to Antiparos for a week. Tide grew from there, one boat at a time.

that first boat is Kyma. She still sails.

The crew

Thirty-one people in high summer. Here are four of them. Portraits arrive next spring.

How we look after the water

  • Sand, not seagrass

We drop anchor on sand patches only. Posidonia meadows hold the seabed together and take a century to regrow.

  • Water from the watermaker

Every boat makes its own drinking water. A week aboard uses no plastic bottles.

  • Sail first

Engines go on to leave harbour and to anchor. In between, the meltemi does the work.
